PPHI at Orchid Extravaganza & Singapore Orchid Show 2026

The Chairperson of the Indonesian Horticulture Professional Association (PPHI), Karen Tambayong, together with PPHI Secretary Rosana A. Harahap, attended the Orchid Extravaganza & Singapore Orchid Show 2026 held at the Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore, on 4 July 2026.
Under the theme Rhythm of the Rainforest, the exhibition was organized through a collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore, and Gardens by the Bay. The exhibition showcased more than 7,000 orchid species alongside over 30 large-scale art installations, highlighting Indonesia’s rich biodiversity, cultural heritage, and creative excellence.
During the event, the PPHI Chairperson had the opportunity to meet and engage with distinguished representatives from Indonesia and Singapore, including Felix Loh, CEO of Gardens by the Bay; Veronica Tan, Vice Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection of the Republic of Indonesia Suryo Pratomo, former Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Singapore; and Kartini Umar, Senior Director of NParks. These meetings provided valuable opportunities to strengthen professional networks, exchange knowledge, and explore potential international collaborations in the field of horticulture.
PPHI’s participation in this event reflects the Association’s commitment to promoting Indonesian horticulture on the global stage while fostering strategic partnerships and international cooperation to support the sustainable development of the horticulture sector.
