Oshibana Workshop at Ecodome, Bogor Botanical Gardens

Bogor, 24 November 2025

On 24 November 2025, the Professional Association of Horticulture Indonesia (PPHI), in collaboration with RAV House, organized an Oshibana Workshop at the Ecodome of Bogor Botanical Gardens. The workshop provided a unique educational experience that combined art and horticulture through the introduction of oshibana, the Japanese art of preserving flowers and leaves to create beautiful botanical artworks.

Through hands-on activities and guided instruction, participants were encouraged to explore their creativity while learning about the sustainable use of floral materials. Each artwork reflected not only individual expression and imagination but also a deeper appreciation for biodiversity and the beauty of nature.

The interactive and welcoming atmosphere allowed participants from diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas, broaden their perspectives, and discover new inspiration by integrating horticulture with artistic practices.

Through initiatives such as this, PPHI remains committed to delivering educational programs that foster knowledge, creativity, and environmental awareness. The Oshibana Workshop demonstrated that horticulture extends beyond cultivation—it can also serve as a medium for art, education, and the promotion of sustainable living.
